You can communicate directly to the unit from your own PC or controller using RS485, or you can talk over the Internet or LAN using ASCII TCP, ModbusTCP, HTTP, etc by using the BarioNet iT8 Gateway.

The standard version of the iT8 has three 24VAC relays for Fan, Heat, & Cool. It also has two 0-10V analog outputs for valves, dampers, heat wheels, and so on. The tstat controls the i/o points in a standard fan coil sequence by default, but you can also take direct control of all the i/o points in a 'slave' mode and control everything to any custom sequence that may be specified.

If you have an application that requires a different design, please let us know and we can accomodate your request assuming that there is some volume behind it. For instance, we could easily modify the standard unit so that the 3 relays operate in a 3-speed fan configuration or in a heat pump configuration with Fan, Compressor, and Reversing valve.

Contact Us for more information or if you have any questions!

New Product: Modbus Enabled Roomtemp sensor with 0-10V output

This is a new one that we've come up with. Here are the features:

- wall mount temperature sensor that is modbus enabled. Modbus-RTU over RS485.

- It comes with an internal temp sensor or you can also attach an external thermistor and use that instead of the built-in sensor. This is nice if you want to "modbus enable" a stainless steel temperature probe or something like that.

- sensor has a 0-10V output that can be controlled via modbus.

- The 0-10V output can also be controlled linearly by the current temperature, allowing the sensor to act as a standalone transducer to control valves, dampers, actuators, etc... Perfect for radiation, cabinet unit heaters, etc..

- list price is $69, which is a pretty nice price for what this thing can do.

For more info, check out: http://www.datanab.com/sensors/Mbus_RT.htm or shoot us an email at info@datanab.com.

Intro

This blog will serve as a means to pass along DataNab news and events to our friends and customers.
